Scale

Isotropic scaling (GS)

1. Select the object in the scene by clicking it.

2. Press G and S key.

3. Move the mouse pointer in the scene.

Scale along the local XYZ axis of the object (GSX GSY GSZ)

1. Select the object in the scene by clicking it.

2. Press G and S key.

3. Press X or Y or Z key to chose the axis constraint.

4. Move the mouse pointer along the axis.

 

Change the scaleing speed or accuracy

While scaling the object, hold down Shift key and the object scales slowly(1/10).

While translating the object, hold down Ctrl key and the object scales more slowly(1/50).

Specify the scaling factor by numeric values

When scalings, the relative size from the original size of the object can be specified by numeric values.

1. Select the object in the scene by clicking it.

2. Press G and S key.

3. Press X or Y or Z key to select the axis if needed.

4. Then input the value to scale from the original size. Backspace and Delete key can be used to edit the value.

To cancel the scaling, press Esc key or right click the mouse.
